BOLC II at Ft. Sill

Later this week, I’ll be driving to Ft. Sill, OK to attend BOLC II.  It’s a seven week, infantry based training where officers from all commissioning sources (ROTC, West Point, and OCS)  train together for the first time.  I’m way too lazy to update this blog with my fun times at Ft. Sill, but you can assume I’ll be having a great time living in barracks again and wrestling 4 hours a day.

If you want to stay up to date on all my activities while I’m there, follow me on Twitter.

Interested in what I’ll be doing at Ft. Sill, check out the course overview.

Army Update

Since my last post on my previous blog, a few things have happened. I attended officer candidate school at Ft. Benning, I graduated from officer candidate school, became a second lieutenant and I moved to Ft. Gordon. I’m currently at Ft. Gordon in Augusta, GA waiting for the next phase of officer training to start.  I move to Ft. Sill, OK in April for BOLC II and then move back to Ft. Gordon for BOLC III in May.

I received my orders for my first duty station. I’ve been assigned to 1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Ft. Drum, NY. If you’re not familiar with the middle of nowhere, check out this map. I’m looking forward to lots of snow, Canadians and taking multiple trips to the desert.
